The Comings and Goings of Lil G

So here’s two videos to make up for it.

Mama and Papa decided today was the perfect day to jump in the pool. Look at our little ducky splash!

And it has begun. We are now in a perpetual state of motion around here. Somehow on Saturday, Geneva found her sea legs and has been doing hot laps ever since. She showed off for Great Granny and Great Granddaddy. Then on Sunday, she showed off for Whatshisname (my dad) and Uncle Mike. Monday had her showing out for Gigi, Auntee Hannah and the daycare ladies. She just needs a little help getting up sometimes, but when she’s up, she’s off!!

This past Saturday, we drove all the way to Franklin to visit Great Granny and Great Grandaddy. They were so excited to see us and Geneva decided to put on the best show ever. Somehow, her courage surged and she took off! It was the most walking we’d ever seen. We hadn’t seen much action since the couple steps she took right before her birthday. Geneva also truly enjoyed a little rocking chair. She rocked out!

We have a walker. Attention, we have a walker!

Geneva took her first unassisted steps from Mama to Papa on April 20, 2009. Rob called it. He said she’d walk before her first birthday. I’m only giving him a half-victory, though. Ha ha.

Unfortunately, the camera was no where near us. We promise to provide video as soon we can!

For Easter we all got gussied up and traipsed over to Gigi and D’s house for a lovely lunch. Here’s Lil’ G in her Easter Finest!

Geneva’s GiGi and Whatshisname decided they needed a Lil’ G fix. They couldn’t have picked a nicer day to come visit. Granddaddy (as I call my dad – he’s letting Geneva decide what to call him) plopped Geneva in some pinestraw and she set to exploring. Pine needles were interesting but the pine cone was a definite bust!

I’m attempting a mini-blitz of photos. Working has left me with even less time to keep things updated. So, let’s play catch-up!

I caught Geneva sleeping like this the other day. She loves to snuggle into her bumper and scrunch her butt in the air.

We’ve also been getting the hang of a sippy cup. It’s still a little messy, but Geneva loves being able to feed herself.
