I have lost our digital camera. I believe it made it back from our Northeast voyage – but where it went from there, I have no idea. Over Thanksgiving, that little camera captured images of Geneva with two of her Great Grandmothers. As I’m sure you can guess, I was (and am) completely distraught over the camera’s loss. It contained every image of Geneva we’ve ever taken, including ones from a minute after she was born.
One salvation is that I had the majority of the photos backed up. I had prepped myself for the eventuality that something might go awry, so I made copies of copies of the photos. I’ve been through one too many computer crashes to not have backed things up properly.
A new camera is making its way to us and should be delivered tomorrow. I still hold out hope that our camera will turn up, but until then, we start fresh. Goodbye little Nikon – you served us well.

You’ve got a great attitude about this Myra. I’m sorry I couldn’t help find your lost tech, but I’m glad you backed everything up. You know how life is, an hour after the new camera arrives you’ll find the old one… and just think, Christmas for your little brother is right around the corner…
Comment by Unky Lowell December 9, 2008 @ 4:33 pmThat really stinks. I’m glad you had a lot of it backed up. I lost my old camera the week my niece was born, and I was the one who had taken the majority of the pictures in the hospital. I am paranoid about my camera now.
